Come on - your chance to influence the setlist:

Mick Jagger: "Thanks for all your tweets about Glastonbury. I was thinking about the set list...Any ideas on that?"

I've already said I'd like to hear Let It Loose....very much doubt they would do it, but if they did it would be amazing at Glastonbury. I'm hoping if they do Gimme Shelter it will be Florence or Lisa dueting.

I'm very excited about the show and can't wait to ge there. Seems as though Primal Scream will be on before the Stones, not a bad warm up act!

Sadly I think we can expect a very warhorse heavy set. As it is a festival with many in the crowd not being huge fans and hearing them for the first time, they are gonna want the most positve reaction they can get from the huge mass of people....meaning playing songs they might or will know.

I see it looking something similar to this:

Start Me Up
It's Only Rock n' Roll
Bitch
Wild Horses
Gimme Shelter
Paint It Black
Doom & Gloom
One More Shot
Tumbling Dice
-some sort of soul/blues cover-
Miss You
Happy
Before They Make Me Run
Midnight Rambler
Honky Tonk Women
Brown Sugar
JJF
Satisfaction

This will not be a show to "strech out" or "try something different". The Stones will be feeling the pressure of so many expectations of casual fans and those unfamilar with them live.

I don't think it's at all the occasion for digging deep into the catalogue. The crowd(mostly young and seeing them for the first time) will be expecting the hot rocks/hits and i think it would be mistake not to give it to them wall to wall.

Play it safe, play well and it will be a triumph. Play a long stretch of unfamiliar songs, as they did at the Isle of Wight, it' could be a bit touch and go.

it matters? like the success of the band hinges on this?

Why not - they ask for it, so why not post some wishes instead of sitting here and complaining?
Of course, they will not completely change the setlist, but maybe add one or two more obscure songs.

I mentioned Slave, Moonlight Mile and Lies - for the lucky ones who´ll be there...

They should play all drinking songs

Gary Clark Jr is on the Glastonbury bill if they're interested in repeating that guest spot. But I think they are more likely to pick somebody red-hot-fashionable as they did with Amy Winehouse at the IOW. They might like to remember that they did CYHMK at the IOW and the festival crowd loved it.

I think Primal Scream are on right before the Stones.

a simple trick: The more people they ask for ideas for the setlist the more votes for greatest hits they'll get

Country Honk, Dead Flowers and a Muddy Waters cover would sound about right !!

Satisfied since 1976

Do the warhorses. By now they are the only songs they can handle. Don't bother with "rarities". They would only be manhandled.

.....There you go Mick, perfect.

Sympathy<>Too much blood<>2000 Light Years<>Can't you hear me knocking (half hour opening 'song')
Honky Tonk women
JJ Flash
Satisfaction
Out of control
Feel on baby
Coming down again (duet)
2 Keith songs
Let the good times roll<>Route 66<>Around and around
Hey Negrita
Dance little sister - with Mick Taylor
Brown sugar- MT
Time waits for no one - MT
encore:
Gimme shelter - MT
Let it loose - MT

They'll have to dig deep if they want to impress the Glastonbury mob, lest they have gangs of blokes standing round singing "Music for your dad, music for your dad, Music for your d-a--a a-d...when Tumbling dice is playing as they were at the Isle of Wight in 2007.

I think they should make it 'album theme night' and pick an album to do songs in order of the original studio album.

As they're building bridges to the next generation, Bridges to Babylon is the obvious choice.
