Last night's episode of the History Channel's miniseries of THE BIBLE included the Devil tempting Jesus. The Chicago Tribune today pondered that the producers chose the actor playing the Devil because he resembles someone....
But, NICOS....we have the worst president in the world, and we (Argentine) are all a group of people who do not know how to live as a society....However, I think that Francesco (Jorge Mario Bergoglio) is clearly "the special one". This man represents what the Catholic Church should be. I wish him the best.

I live in Argentina for more than 42 years and I wasn't going to post a comment on this thread even if I'm reading it with much interest since it was opened, but your comment moved me...I agree with you 100% and I must say that I'm proud of the new Pope, I wish him the best too!

Just watching Pope Francis meeting his congregation, and he seems just like a vicar or priest saying goodbye from their local church .
Very informal and he comes over to me so far as being very humble, and a priest for the people. >

I heard that "Pope Francis" was his second choice for a name. Was going to choose Pope Ignatius but didn't want to be known as Iggy Pope.

I don't have any stake in Catholicism I am not a religious person ay all but the new Pope seems cool and if what I heard this morning about his meeting with ex-Boston MA diocese Cardinal Law is true I have a tremendous amount of respect for the man already.

These kidnapped—the "disappeared"—were who Mick was singing about in UNDERCOVER OF THE NIGHT: "100,000 disparos/Lost in the jails in South America."
