I attended one of the pre-show buffets in Newark and it was outstanding. Mind you, in the end not worth the overall price by a long shot but the food was delicious and plentiful with many options to choose from and it also included full bar service.

Sorry man, but here comes again the jealousy. Most of the people we met saved up just anything (no holidays etc) to be able to see the Stones again.Quote

Re: "Gold VIP" or "Hospitality" pre-show buffet dinners? [U.S. shows]
Barclays Center Dec 8th
Prudential Dec.13th & 15th
I know the buffets weren't worth the money, but did you attend one of those oh, so special, "pre-show" dinners? Got any pics from the grand event?
Please, if you need to rant on these so-called hospitality hustles not being worth it, start another thread for that. Thanks.

How big of a deal was it meaning how many folks? The ones in London appeared to be someplace in the 200-250-300 guests range.
Did your package included a pass for the group's exhibit at the Paley Center for the Media? Good exhibit? www.paleycenter.org/2012-fall-rolling-stones-50/

To many of you here on IORR this may sound cheesy but I, personally, very much enjoyed the buffet and watching the soundcheck, not to mention the fabulous seats we had in the third row, Keith's side right next to the tongue extension.
There are many cynics on this board that will eat me alive for this post but for me, personally, the price was worth the experience 100%.

As far as I understand it was ground floor standing on that concert without any FOS or any special front row arrangement. So you're right it does not make sense.Quote

Wow, this is so Rock'n'Roll. I would not go there if they payed me and seriously don't understand how someone here can be interested in that.
. I don't get it.

Just the last summer at the Springsteen concert in Vienna I was waiting in the 4th row by the centre of the stage. I stood next to 4 people from UK or US, I don't remember, and they had some VIP tickets for some ridiculous money and could go to some VIP lounge with a buffet at the very opposite side of the stadium. Two of them went some time before the concert and returned some half an hour before the show, when everybody was standing up and it was very dense. But they somehow managed to go through the whole stadium and return and said they had some champagne and beans or something, that sounded awful to me, but they said it was delicious and those other two were very sad they didn't go and actually seriously considered going there. They spent the half an hour untill the show speaking about the buffet and those who didn't go just kept on going about how they wanted those beans. I mean you wait for 5 hours for the show, you stand 1 meter from the stage and all you can think about is a VIP buffet. I don't get it.
