Good idea! I'm doing a 4-cheese pizza tonight: fontina, provolone, parmesan, and mozzarella. Nothing bizarre about those pairings--or should I say quadrupling, or double pairing, or simply delicious? Whether you're a Jimi Hendrix or a Monkees fan, or a Who or Herman's Hermits fan, that is something on which we can all agree.

I hate to bust the pizza post, but being a canuck I love the use of the term "Canadian Bacon" by our friends to the south. We do not use the term nor particularly the shape of that particular cut of the swine. How this food description got that name escapes me, you did not see a Canadian eating it?

Some of those are not very odd, at all. Some are a little amusing in hindsight, perhaps: I.E. The Who opening for Herman's Hermits.
A friend saw U2 open for Slade circa 1979. Obviously, no-one at the time could predict quite how big this Irish act would become, but Slade were on their way out at that time, too. If Bono and co were a little older and opening for Slade in '72, it'd seem a little more real, perhaps.
