I am concerned that someone will steal my crappy skis, let alone if I had the greatest graphics of all time on a set of skis. I bet these would not last 5 minutes sitting by themselves outside the lodge, before they grew legs and walked off.

Funny thing is, even though these skis are still the same price as when they came out (I think 5-6 years ago) they now seem cheaper (on a relative basis) almost affordable.

I am about to pull the trigger on that purchase for trip to colorado--one of my buddies bought it too, and when I saw him on lift I knew what I must do.

K2 and The Rolling Stones Celebrate 50th Birthdays Together with Limited Edition Skis

2012 marks the 50th anniversary of two unmistakable names in the music and ski industries. In 1962, the Rolling Stones turned the rock and roll world upside down with their bold live performances, rebellious attitudes, and instant-classic tracks. Meanwhile, another band of innovators was making its own tracks on the slopes. 50 years ago K2 was founded as a ski company with its own rebellious attitude and irreverent style.

The first of four Rolling Stones skis will be available on the versatile SideShow chassis, so whether you’re skiing on-piste, a secret stash in bounds or a short hike above the lifts, the premier Stones Limited Edition skis will get you up and down with great satisfaction.

Those are quite cool, wish I was a skier. Alas, the one time I tried it, I mowed down a few people just trying to get down the beginners slope. Too much of a klutz. Did about as bad on water skis..
