The Stones' version has no redeeming qualities. It was a low point of their career when they started doing all those terrible cover versions around the time of the Licks/A Bigger Bang tours. Love Train, Get Up Stand Up and Night Time Is The Right Time are other offenders. If you can't do it better than the originals then don't bother.

It's a darn sight better than Under The Boardwalk. I really loathe that cover version, and My Girl, too.

Yeah, really boring version, that sounds very antiseptic. Very little guitar action, and the horns carry it... Could have been cool, like Imagination, but they watered it down. And Mick just can't carry it.

Horrible choice.

Even the original isn't worth listing....let let alone a bad cover

Another thumbs down from me - I'm not that fond of the original, and this doesn't add anything to it. I agree about this group of covers - they invented a "soul cover slot" in the setlist for some reason (probably they just enjoy playing them, or to give the guitars a rest while the horns show off) but none of them work very well.

bingo...although i was admittedly fond of their love train...the rest? blech. wretched, wretched, wretched.

I like it. I think its a good arrangement. To my ears it doesn't sound like an exact copy. I just wish they had tried on an earlier tour when Keith's Chops were better.
