I saw Johnnie sit in with the Stones at Busch Stadium, St. Louis, in 1989. It was just a week or so after I'd seen Sugar Blue sit in with them at Alpine Valley. near Chicago.

Keith is tweeting now? Wait, he probably Faxes in his tweets, though.

Without Keith getting it together for Chuck B for Hail Hail RnR, Johnnie Johnson would have had to have gone on just driving a bus, and he probably wouldn't have lived as long either.

In St. Louis, was it on the main stage or the B stage? What song was it?

It was Little Red Rooster from the main stage (I don't recall them having a B stage on that tour). Video is very poor...but if I can find some free time this week I'll try and post it.

Funny story about this...we were with Johnny the Friday night before that Sunday concert. A friend of mine knows him, he was playing a show in St. Louis at Off Broadway. I asked him what he'd been up to lately, he said he just got back from NY playing at Keith's birthday party, and did some recording with Aretha Franklin. Now I've met him a few times, very humble man, and a bit of a jokester, I asked if he was playing anywhere else this weekend, and just sort of matter-of-fact like, he says, "I'm playing a wedding tomorrow, and with the Stones on Sunday", he laughed, we laughed, thought nothing of it, good joke...yet there we are around the 33rd row on the field, and here he comes walking out on stage mid-show in front of 40,000 people.
