Exile on Main Street gets my vote, but I will also mention the Minutemen's Double Nickles on the Dime (1984).

Good choice! Back in the day I would always play cuts from this album for my heavy metal listening friends who were under the impression that Macca couldn't rock out when he wanted to. The Wings Over America album features heavier versions of songs than their studio album counterparts, thanks to the powerhouse drumming of Joe English and the Gibson SG Standard attack of Jimmy McCulloch. I'd play my Beatles-dissing friends Soily, and once that opening chord sounded out their eyes would widen, with a new respect....

Is everyone still so sure that EXILE IS SO GREAT? Loved it as a kid but now when you listen to it start to finish it seems it might have lost something in its power? Maybe just a personal revelation but I'm not so sure.

Although I think All Eyez On Me by 2pac is a hiphop masterpiece.
