If I really want to cringe, I'll listen to "Eileen, let me lean on you..."
That made some stuff like this sound good.

I don't hear any acoustic guitar. I think they filmed this on the same stage as the moon landing and Super Bowl XXXII.

I ended up not minding parts of "Shes the Boss" too much. Like Secrets" and "Turn the Girl loose"; or "Hard Woman".

She's The Boss was not a downright bad album, but the production was, imo.
Songs like Lonely At The Top, Hard Woman, Just Another Night and Secrets were quite good. I also like 1/2 A Loaf.

Not sure I remember this one airing on MTV. I know Just Another Night, Lucky in Love and Hard Woman (2 versions!) did. Maybe this is pulled from the Running Out of Luck longform video?

So you enjoyed 1/2 the LP?

Nothing intentionally funny about the 80s.
Mullets, casio keyboards and embarrassing pop videos.
Just why did everyone push their jacket sleeves up to their elbows?
Mental.

I actually quite like the She's The Boss album. The production is pretty bad for sure, but the songwriting is actually quite good, and I like most of Jagger's singing on the album.

The title track is ridiculous though.

I remember the video, but I think I must have changed the channel evertime it came on MTV...it was too embarrassing...and still is. You know how sometimes you look back at something and think, 'That wasn't so bad...'
Well, this is even worse now.
I disagree - Nile Rodgers did better with Bowie and others...and he was a master at finding a groove.
I think the generic melodies, weak, mannered vocals and horrible lyrics are the culprit. This was a very bad time for Jagger as an artist...
He seemed to lack any real artistic ambition other than proving that he could still compete with Prince, MJ and Bowie.

Not ridiculous at all. Just the story of his life unfortunately.
L'Wren bragged on Twitter that this was her favorite Xmas present this year.
Great track. Great album. By "great" I mean Undercover Voodoo Lounge type
"great", not Beggars Exile type "beyond great".
