T&A
fab t-birds were my fave band there back in their early daze. mike buck (and then fran christina) with keith ferguson were a crack rhythm section. jimmie's lost a lot of his chops over the years, unfortunately. he plays around town here, mostly freebies. still has the look....he'll be back.

Missing some chops, and missing some picks.
Last time JLV hit up Antone's I asked for his pick he tossed 30 of 'em at me...

Now if only Dale Watson would follow suit...

Is it possible you just annoyed him and he was trying to hurt you?

Possible?
My good Canadian read the post again...
I was beered up and screaming his name 3 feet away from him in a half empty blues bar...

Wait, is that why Dale won't follow suit?

No wonder he was annoyed...you were 3 feet away screaming and didn't even offer him a beer!

For you , my friends: Some of my shots last year in Hamburg, Germany, Downtown Blues Club , 2.5.2012.

One of the best and coolest concerts I`ve ever seen. What a cool band, what a feeling. These guys are unreal. Texas. I felt like being in a Tarrentino movie.
And Lou Ann was on top of all this.

I´m still smilingcool smiley

By the way: his recent cd`s "Plays Blues,Ballads and Favorites " are a must have..

Have fun!

Tom

Yes, right in front of him. The stage was small, low level (30 cm), no barriers, could easily touch him (no I just shaked hands). No picks, but afterwards he signed cds and you could talk to him. So cool, so relaxed, very nice down to earth person.
And I`m still impressed how he leads the band with his economic funky style, just playing some single notes...other players need a million notes and say nothing..

@ Munichhilton: Do you think you have a leftover of your 30 picks winking smiley ?

Tom

Nice souvenirs of a great night there Tom.

Leftover picks?

Well I left most of them in the beer and sweat on Antone's floor, but I may have something left around here...

Heck when Jimbo gets better and plays town again I'll tell him I need a few more for Tom...
