That's cheap by our distorted Stones' standards, where did you see the price though?

BTW, "More" = Paris and Amsterdam

June 8th Dublin: The O2
June 10th Belfast: Odyssey
June 12th Glasgow: SECC
June 15th London: The O2
June 18th Sheffield: Motorpoint Arena
June 20th Newcastle: Metro Arena
June 23rd Manchester: Arena
June 25th Cardiff: Motorpoint Arena
June 28th Birmingham: LG Arena
June 30th Liverpool: Echo Arena
July 3rd Paris: Bercy

Hmm, somehow I don't think Mick will be following the Who's example. But we can always dream .....

ok, thanks, Bercy should be the same then.

@paulywaul - Yep, listened to "Who's Next" a lot in my day but had never been a huge fan and I'm not sure how often they've played in France since, er...1990? I'll look it up though ;-) Besides the memories of the terrible 1982 and 1989 reviews didn't want to make me "investigate", the 121212 got me interested again though ;-)

As for Mick following their example? Right...Mick is in fact "waiting for offers" that will match their crazy 50th pricing, so he'll probably be waiting for a long time!

Depends on what you can score I guess, apparently there is no "pit"...this is the Oakland setup :

Bercy will hopefully have the usual Floor GA.

@paulywaul - I checked on Setlist FM, there were 3 Who shows since 1990 in Paris, 2 in 1997 at Le Zenith, one at Bercy in 2007, the previous one being at the Pavillon de Paris in...1979 !

Has anyone downloaded 2012 shows on Dime? Wonder what the best one is...

Well, after scoring possibly the best Stones ticket in the house at the 02 at 5pm on the day of the 2nd concert I think I've revised my ticket buying stategy. The song 'Fools rush in' springs to mind.

The prices are very reasonable in "Ziggo Domo in Amsterdam" with very good acoustics. I did see The Who Quadrophenia live in 1997 so I'm kind of curious about their coming concert in 2013.
Good luck with getting tix.

cheers

Looking at the 02 seating plan on Viagogo there is big General Admission area that takes up the whole of the ground floor. So lots of standing tickets for £60 ? Mick Jagger please note

They're not in bad shape at all! And the band playing sounds amazing, with Zak Starkey on drums. You will have to listen a bit deeper

The two surviving members in bad shape ? Nonsense. If you don't like them, that's perfectly fine, but to say they're in bad shape - that's absurd. I hate Bruce Springsteen for example, but I could hardly make the observation that the man is in bad shape !

The high-priced tickets were $150 in the US. It was worth every penny. This is an amazing show.

The O2 date clashes with Springsteen at Wembley Stadium. I already got a ticket for Bruce.

Who is in The Who anymore?

They should change their name to The Why

Been totally spoilt by seeing The Who at O2 Indigo and up front at the Royal Albert Hall. If the tickets are at a decent price and good seats,it may get me to see 'em at the O2. Gonna definately be a great show anyway. smoking smiley

£74 & £79 are the two price categories. Compare that to the 50 & Counting shows by the Glimmers. £79 !! That wouldn't even have got your foot in the door .... !!

Well, speaking of December 2012, the general consensus of opinion among those people in NYC that I spoke to at the Stones shows on the 13th and the 15th, and that also went to to the 121212 Hurricane Sandy Relief thing, is that the WHO were awesome, essentially overshadowing the Stones on THAT particular day and event. I did see a bit of the WHO's 121212 performance on a TV some days later, and yes indeed, they looked & sounded absolutely bloody great.

Were the Who onstage in the few minutes you were watching?

Half the original Stones are gone as well--Brian and Ian are dead, and Bill is not interested. Musicians come and go, and bands evolve as time moves on. If you want to be a purist on original members, then you would not listen to The Stones post Beggars Banquet.

Didn't see them in real time (that's to say live) ... watched selected bits of the event a few days later in playback. But as I say, only a few minutes of it in total really. Fast forwarded through Springsteen and Bon Jovi, not of interest, didn't even bother watching the Stones' bit either.
