I've seen the PPV 3 times now and was lucky enough to see the first O2 show.

I still can't believe how great they are playing.

And they all really seem to be having fun.

The guests were good and having Mick Taylor back is truly wonderful too.

Like this and with the tour engine running, surely they will do more shows?

They might be having fun as a group but it appears a bit chilled between Mick and Keith. That has me concerned.

People always assume Keith is the blues guy, but I think if Mick had his preference....he would love to do a back-to-basics strictly blues, soul album
with guys like Clark and Mayer, the Black Keys etc...
It would be fantastic.

Blues are not sung through your nose, it comes from the belly.

Uh, wasn't Mick in a "supergroup" earlier this year? How did that work out again?

Yeah, but look who his 'supergroup' consisted of...

This never works out for him, left to his own devices he's currently a lousy record producer, layers too much stuff and indecisive. Mick has nothing to prove and i suspect he'll continue as he has, doing albums for fun. Didn't he make a Medicine Man album with Dave Stewart? His focus playing the 2 new tunes this mini tour was inspiring.

I enjoyed the Foo Fighters part, but mainly for IORR. They played it like the album, I've never heard The Stones do that. They may have, I don't know, but I've never heard it. They have a much different arrangement, much more loose and missing a lot of what makes the album version great. So I enjoyed that some.

Mick should go solo indeed. Primitive Cool and Goddess In The Doorway are such great albums.

Let's work! Be proud! Stand tall! Touch the clouds!

1+
Thats exactly what everybody is waiting for......except tunes like "Memo from Turner" a failure we should forgive him..:-)

its always a good chuckle when some dumbass who has absolutely no idea what the rolling stones are all about writes an article.

lets go over it one more time -the rolling stones have a magic about them.it comes from a variety of things, talent, chemistry, years of playing together, the uniqueness of the charactors involved and many other things.

when they play together it sounds like the rolling stones.nobody else doing the songs they wrote sound like them-i dont care if its the arcade fighters or the foo fire or johnny and the dipshits at the local bar its not the same.they all sound like a group trying to be as unique and cool as the rolling stones, and they always fail.

theres a reason people pay huge amounts of money to see the rolling stones play.it looks and sounds like the real deal-because it is.its the difference between a diamond and cubic zirconia, some cant tell the difference.some can see it a mile away.

mick is, was and always will be the singer for the stones for one reason-they are the best band ... ever

Excuse, but you're wrong! Mick Jagger solo without Keith, Charlie and Ronnie there is no feeling and no magic.

He tried quitting the Stones in his prime. Why would he wanna do it when he's pushing 70?

Weird piece...

I think they should replace Jagger with Daltrey, like Keith wanted to do during WWIII.

Daltrey ain't afraid to take his shirt off.

"A week ago at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, Mick Jagger addressed the crowd
during a Rolling Stones show. “People always ask us, ‘Why do you keep touring?’”
he said. “You’re (money) is the reason we really do this.”

Jagger left out one word.

I think Mick enjoys having guests like the Foo Fighters, like Gaga and younger musicians like Mayer and Clark - he feeds off their energy.

Keith and Ronnie sounded energized by Mayer and Clark and it showed in their playing. Otherwise, I think they get lazy. And Mick must get bored with that

thumbs up
