Another great one is Neigbors. When Stu hits the keys, the song is lifted to another dimension.

Good Call.

Boogie With Stu! I'm sure most here know that the album cover for Physical Graffiti was the building the Stones filmed the Waiting On A Friend vid.

It's a nice version, but putting Stu's name on it somehow doesn't excuse another Zep rip-off...

There are so many great recordings with him but I always thought that Around and around is his very best.

One could wonder why Led Zep didn't even bother to change the lyrics. They did so with the title and the credits...

Wasn't really thinking about Stu's name in the title or Zeppelin ripping anyone off...just Stu's great piano playing on the song, you know?

By the way, Ritchie borrowed heavily from Little Richard...

My Obsession - good call

On my CD, Boogie With Stu is credited to Zep, Stu and Mrs Valens...was it on the original release?
All the Blues, R&B writers borrowed from each other anyway over the years...

I believe her credit was included on the original release, but Valens' publishing company sued later for the entire song and they settled out of court.

I can just see Stu rolling his eyes.

But the fact that she is a good pianist would definitely resonate with him.

There is an awful lot to choose from. Stew had such a feel and it came through when he played. He might not have been the best boogi woogie player but he could sprinkle fairy dust on any song. Apart from all the obvious choices, I'd say some of the work he did on the 81/82 tour especially Let's Spend the Night Together. It's often mixed down low, but if you listen it's fantastic. Chuck Leavell just aint got the feel I'm afraid.
