So far the lowest common denominator of these Archive Shows (brussels apart) seems to be the existence of a pro shot vid.

well i never i only found out about the Toronto gig at the weekend, matter of fact the paypal direct debit only went out of my account today, now this I saw even less information about this release.
When I signed in to Stones Archive it was not there I only found it by following the link from Kawolskil.
So is that it then 6 shows, a bit cheaper than everything else they are releasing now at least.
I am not going to any of the shows cos I just can't afford them,I have not been able to go by myselfsince I became disabled and I am not paying for a companion at those prices.
GRRR,Deluxe will have to wait and so will Charlie is My Darling Deluxe
So its just as well I got these 2 shows at least.
I saw one of the tickets for the 02 the other day ,nice to see they made an effort in the design ,just a nice normal 02 ticket like every up and coming act gets or even tennis tournament.

My first impression: Could be the runner-up to LA Friday, on the same quality level as Brussels, ingenious and messy moments, over all a better sound than Hampton, a bit too much Keith-accentuated, Ronnie is sometimes a little to low in the mix, the annoying brass factor is rising (Beast of Burden is a essential guitar song I think, Gene Barge ruins almost the second part of the song), plink plonk Chuck is on board, but fortunately in the background. The last concert, I think, of the ingenious Rolling Stones. Later on we've got Chuck's Punch and Judy show and the Rolling Stones Big Band. I'm very pleased with this boot so far.

True! Okay, I'll steal it, then delete it. Like throwing a trout back in the lake.

that's the spirit.

except the trout analogy sounds a little fishy...don't blame the trout.

That would be fantastic! This is a great release in the bootleg series. By releasing Hampton and this (from the same tour) makes me think there are more bootlegs to come. Brian Jones era, 1970, 71, 72, 76, 77 would be nice..

Great release! It has Bill playing bass, it's historically important as Stu's last show with the band, guitars high up in the mix – what is there not to like?

So, does this complete the official bootleg downloads or will they do more?

This is to my big surprise a really good one: nearly the same songs as on Hampton (Angie is really cool btw), but played differently, not only faster, different arrangements, the sound/mix is lightyears better than the a little muddy Hampton-Boot.

But please NO more VIDEOS: Bill looks like Zarah Leander, his bass is ugly too .... terrible 80s stuff!

Angie is on here?? Very cool ! I've always been really curious about what that song sounded like on this tour.

Yep and it has nothing to do with the other versions known to me so far ... a "riffed" and rocking Angie at least. Very relaxed ...

What a surprise. After watching the few clips on youtube I've been blown away.
I think it is filmed much clearer and nearer than the Hal Ashby movie. It's just amazing to see the Stones roll. What an opportunity for a dvd-release. It brings back old memories. Ian Stewarts` last concert with the band. Carry on like that.

That's a shame. There was plenty of room for both songs in the set. They're not particularly long.

haha wow...that's a nice little double stop during the intro of "Let Me Go"...when did they start doing that on the tour? It's pretty cool.

Now that this round of 'boots' are finished, I'd say they were a mixed bag. I bought 4 of them, and will pass on the last 2. Brussels, LA, and Hampton are brilliant. I bought Tokyo but have no desire to listen to it again. And except for Back of My Hand, no interest in Phoenix. And Roundhay is just too damn fast. Take it easy, baby....

I hope there's more. Something from '66, or even '67 if possible. Leeds, of course. El MaCambo. 100 Club.

finaly gave it a listen. A fun show, It has a punk edge. A different vibe than hampton. I really like the mix, the guitars are sounding really good. I like the rough and ready version of Angie. Ernie is so much better but the horns on this show work too. Its interesting to hear these songs with another sax player.

The boot is brilliant, shining guitars, ingenious and messy moments, on par with LA Friday on top of the bootleg series. Seems to be the last concert of the real Rolling Stones before they transformed into a mere show act as the Rolling Stones Big Band. Hope they will continue this series. My ranking so far:

1. LA Friday 10/10, the guitar tone is unchallenged.

2. Leeds 10/10

3. Brussels 9/10

4. Hampton 7/10

5. Toronto 5/10

6. Tokyo 3/10
