I think "Melody" surpasses Billy Prestons tune - of course I can hear the similarities, but it is altered in a very interesting way. The mix of soul, jazz and some barbershop is fantastic. Of course it is kind of a filler, but a brillant and surprising filler - adventurous. It's like Hide your love - damn charming. And Jagger's singing on Melody is simply magnificent! (especially the last campy part).
I agree, but Do You Love Me came first, obviously, and they only re-worked it. The chords and some of the melody is the same. Even the effect of Keith's guitar work.
