When I was a kid, the only thing that interested me in Westerns was indians, and I was always looking for them to win (which they never did...) But nowadays it is the pure violence and psychological tension, so Leone's spaghetti westerns is what I suppose I like best, even though the best one of that type is, of course, THE WILD BUNCH. PAT GARRET AND BILLY THE KID is damn fine movie as well - and not least due to fine soundtrack, as it teh case with Leone's movies as well. A helluva movie is awell that MISSOURI - or what is called - where Marlon Brando makes that degenerated version of head hunter (reads poems, and kills people to toilets, and is finally throat cut by Jack Nicholson).

Not seen for ages the classical Westerns (Ford and that stuff), but John Wayne, of course, is the coolest guy on earth in that genre.

I can only speak for myself, but I am not one to bash on things/people/shows/songs/artists which I dont like... I tend to just not mention them versus bashing.

I figure to each his/hre own, and "they" wouldnt make certain stuff/shows/songs/series if a bunch of people didnt like it... and if someone does like it then why should I bash on on it? It serves no purpose. I figure let people like what they like in peace.

Assassination of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford ......

Train robbery and assassination scenes are so well done ....
Slow but great build ... wonderful to watch in it's mesmerizing way ...
The end is spoilt when Nick Cave appears singing in the bar....jarring to the overall mood of the film ....

writer/director Andrew Dominik has since released the stunning Killing Them Softly
