The premise is flawed; there is much joy in the world.
47% of the USA is overjoyed, in fact....

Way to "speak to the mountain"! One love, and gold rings on ya!
Now, that's the spirit I was looking for! There is no mountain too big for the Rolling Stones!

It's a false joy. There is no true joy until the Stones hit the stage.

Nobody's gettin' any more of my stuff (i.e.- increased taxes to finance the clueless)...as a small business owner, I'm cutting staff this year, probably closing my business after that, and retiring early 'cause I can...and I'm not alone in having a plan like this.
The "free" stuff doesn't happen without people like me...good luck finding another way to "finance" it!

I am just not going to pay $500 for a shit seat, or $800-$900 for a front section seat. I know, I shouldn't beat a dead horse..but the topic was JOY and I feel no happiness at all concerning this tour!

Actually, I have been celebrating just about every moment these past five years since the last tour.

I'm wondering now, if a 2013 tour comes around with more "normal" ticket pricing as it is rumored, what are the suckers who paid ridiculous prices in 2012 going to think ?

Time for the Stones to Quit. Hard-pressed World needs Now-Artists.
Then-Artists Must Cede the Stage.
Actually, its already happening. Here we are, in the supposedly glorious fiftieth
year of our lords, and if you news-google "the rolling stones" you get about
24,000 hits. That compares not so impressively with the 12,000 a nobody like
Georgia May Jagger gets.
How about compared to a somebody?
Okay, news-google rihanna and you get 10 million hits, just in NEWS...
400 times the news interest as there is in the Stones
Like it or not, its way over for the Stones. Its just a little cult
following now. And the band, by continuing, is doing great harm to its legacy.
If Keith quit, the legend could start growing again, instead of being shrunk
horribly day by day.
The only way to save the glory of the Stones is for Keith to quit. Yesterday
if not sooner. The longer this goes on, the more of a joke it becomes.
Save the Stones! Force them into retirement!

It's positive that in a recent interview keith said charlie had lobbied the band to tour without horn sections. The fewer non stones there are on stage making a godawful racket to cover up what the actual stones are playing, the better.
