Ticket prices are a scam, The Stones have some sort of input but who knows who really drives it.

The Stones and in particular MJ are not complete idiots...they at least probably understand arithmetic, so to be paid $25,000,000 for 4 gigs, plus costs, plus some sort of profit for the promoters, means that these tickets were going to cost serious money.
I think they aren't actually announcing a tour for 2013 for two reasons:
1. They are not 100% sure they are doing it yet...but they are close.
2. The contract with the promotors for these 4 shows specifically states they are not to announce any new shows, so as to keep demand and prices high for the first 4 shows.
So after the shows, maybe after Christmas, expect a tour announcement for 2013.

....a word from Ronnie
But Wood has defended the band's right to recoup its expenditure, telling The Sunday Times Magazine, "We're spending millions on the stage and we've already spent a fortune in Paris... I mean, we want to make some money."

"We're Free To Charge What We Please, any old time"
...this concludes a word from the Stones about ticket prices.

Well good for him, at least that is a start. Maybe we hear from Mick next?

I'm sure Mick will say "Thank you" at some point, probably after the first song in the first show.

Mick made a comment about ticket prices at the Hollywood Bowl shows in 2005.
He said something to the effect of......I know you paid about $450 for these seats up front, to think, when we played here in 1966, these seats were $4.50...

Why No Word Yet From Stones About Ticket Prices?
Because they don't care.Their comments since the dates have been announced and Micks..............
"Well, I know it's a lot, really," he tells BBC Radio 4's Front Row, in an interview to be broadcast next month. "But there seems to be a demand and that's good.
"I'm not going to get into it any further."
That just about sums it up.Money grabbing tossers.

So, what does Sir Mick reckon about this fuss over his £400 tickets?

Sort of seems that way doesn't it. Maybe the fans should send them a message by not attending. They just use us to feed their addiction to performing anyway. I am moving closer by the day to being done with them altogether.

I share this sentiment and have almost given up.
It's clear from Ronnie & Keith's comments that they're a) out of touch with 'regular' stones fans and/or b)they're not bothered what fans think.
Add to that the lack of output in recent years and Keith's below par performances on the last tour(s)... I kind of wonder, what am I hanging around for, they're done.

The ticket issue is shameful, but the new songs are really good in my opinion. I am thinking PPV is the way to go.
