I would be quite impressed if Philip Norman, an English novelist who grew up on the Isle of Wight, does interviews in Dutch.

I interviewed Norman in Amsterdam last Monday. Nice guy. Interview to be published on www.writteninmusic.nl . Sorry but it is in Dutch. I previously interviewed Tim Ries and Chris Jagger.

Likewise - I could have done without the three minutes the interviewer wasted on trying to force Philip Norman to declare for either the Beatles or the Stones party, but the rest I enjoyed.

For those who are put off because it's a Dutch station: after the intro in Dutch, the actual radio interview is in English.
(I'd love to pretend I understand Dutch, but it's all Greek to me...)

Thanks. I enjoyed the interview more than the book itself. Norman thinks the Keith story of Muddy-Waters-painting-the-ceiling is garbage. Marshall Chess said it was garbage. It's sort of humiliating toward Muddy. Even if it's true why has Keith insisted on repeating that story?
