i've had problems with e-mails from this site for over 6 months.. never get an e-mail for any threads i'm following any more no matter what i do.. even created a new account and still had problems.. tried marking all read but that didn't help

Yep.....wrought with guilt over some recent bannings, BV did the unthinkable and actually banned himself. I understand he's been sending himself some pretty nasty emails trying to get back in. He's being pretty stubborn about not letting himself back in but in the end I believe he'll give himself another chance.....I mean after all, this is his website.

....no official number. Not many, I'm sure.....BV, our moderator will occasionally ban someone for posting offensive stuff. There are some simple rules.....

What are these rules? Where can someone read them, if not its not serious. Where's the IORR constitution?

you don't have to read 1000 paragraphs, just use your comon sense.
and - it is serious.

I ban may be one person every 2nd month. There are half a million people on IORR every month. The simple rules listed on the Help & Policy link on top of every forum page is all it takes to understand the simple rules. Then you will see IORR is much more flexible than most other moderated news sites on the net.
