Warren Zevon's, Were Wolves Of London on the Letterman show. Expensive Wino, Waddy Watchel was on guitar. What else has Mr Waddy been up to lately?

You I remember hearing a rumour about that...was it true or a media witch hunt?

Adam Sandler singing "Werewolves'"?

Does he sing as badly as performs comedy? Did he sing it in that idiotic baby voice? I'm just waiting for the French to deem him a genious like they did Jerry Lewis.

Who are you talking to Limbostone with the ''are you?". Clairfy. Then you'll get a response.

Adam Sandler is in the same league as Pauly Shore: juvenile, pre-teen, sophomoric "humor". Without "potty"jokes, he'd be nowhere. I'll never understand his success . . . .

I heard the studio version of this and surprisingly it did not suck. The vocals were straight ahead and not jokey and Waddy rocked on guitar. It's from the tribute album Enjoy Every Sandwich (when Zevon was dying and appeared on Letterman, Letterman asked him if dying had given him any wisdom to impart and Zevon said "enjoy every sandwich, because you never know when it's going to be your last one.")

There are a bunch of cool covers of Zevon songs from Springsteen, Dylan, Steve Earle, the Pixies, Jackson Browne, Don Henley and others. Well worth checking out, here's a link (scroll down near the bottom of the page): [www.warrenzevon.com]

I remember seeing this thing on tV where a bunch of comedians sang and played gituar along with Lou Reed and did "walk on the wild side" I remember Sandler, Jimmy Fallon and jack black did it, I dont remember who else was in it. During Sanler's part instead of saying "take on a walk on the wild side" he said "Take a walk on the Slip n' silde". some people think adam sandler is annoying, but I think hes funny.

Speaking of Zevon . . . where's a good place for a WZ newbie to start? Excitable Boy? Bad Luck In Dancing School? With most artists, I'd start with a "best of" but Zevon strikes me as a studio album-worty type of dude.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Zevon's more of a dead type of dude. I don't know his stuff that well. I would get the last album he was working on knowing he was dying - saw a special on it, sounded good AND an Anthology or expanded best of....

There's a one disc anthology called Genius: The Best of Warren Zevon that is a pretty good overview. My favorite Zevon studio albums are Excitable Boy, Mr. Bad Example, The Wind and Warren Zevon. Can't go wrong with any of those.
