I agree totally...and i like Stone Alone a lot too...it's funny to read just how the Stones (especially Keith) totally disregarded those records...in that Rolling Stone article (in the digest that collected RS articles up to 1975 or so)... Keith doesn't have much good to say about Monkey Grip...

Yes something like that, would be my guess. I think there wouldn't be any Bill Wyman & the Rhythm Kings.....Bill would be satisfied with playing in Stewart's R&B band.
Maybe even Taylor would have joined....yes, I think that would be the scenario. Had Ian Stewart lived longer the liklihood is that he would have had less influence than he had in 1982. Jagger had a business plan and Ian's views would not have been taken into consideration. Neither would Charlie or Bill have broke away to form any kind of amalgamation. What if, what if, what if
