I like finding a good series that will keep me watching for a while.
"Ray Donovan" Season 1 was really fine entertainment.
"Penny Dreadfull" just started. And there are a couple new ones about to start: one with Lee Pace about the early days on the net. then there is some gory looking one with Clive Owen. "Masters of Sex" is also good.
The Wire, Sopranos, Breaking Bad,Oz made us all hopong for a great new series.

I saw it too, and have to say it was perplexingly terrible. No charcter development. we are not introduced to them, are ( I think) supposed to care about them, when we know nothing about them. It was all lukewarm humor. I could not get myself to care about ahything: the artwork, the guys. No drama, no tension. There was no joy about the rescue of artwork.
It got best towrds the end, when it stuck closest to the facts.
This was such a great cast. But it was lousy. Could barely get through it.

Steve McQueen's dead or Alive is pretty good too

One can always go back and watch "Rescue Me". The early seasons are off the hook, the later seasons are good....and it is all wrapped up... so no waiting for anything.

I liked the first few seasons but after that the show seemed kind of boring. Over the last ten years or so FX has had the best dramas imo- even better than HBO. The Shield, Rescue Me, Nip/Tuck, Justified, Sons Of Anarchy and The Americans are all great shows.

"Lyin' awake in a cold, cold sweat. Am I overdrawn, am I going in debt?
It gets worse, the older that you get. No escape from the state of confusion I'm in.

Orphan Black is pretty well done. Interesting premise, nice acting.

Tried twice to get into that one MidKnight but it just never took off for me. I've had a bit of experiance with motorcycle clubs and let me tell you this one just ain't no fun at all. The bike clubs I've hung around with were fun firstly business next. And let me tell you when your hanging around with people that have absolutely no regard for anything the jokes come awfully easy. Everythings fair game and taboos just aren't recognized so you do the math from there.

Nearly every sitcom borrows at least something from The Honeymooners.

I recently came across two movies by accident that I really never heard of.

I love a good horror movie, I dont know why because they scare the crap out of me. I try to watch them while it is still light outside.

SINISTER: starring Ethan Hawke extremely creeply and they did not telegraph what was coming next.

KILL THE IRISHMAN: Starring Ray Stevenson (Great Job) also Vincent D'onofrio & Christopher Walken. A true story about a Gangster in Cleveland during the 60's and 70's named Danny Green. They did a nice job of intergrating actual news footage from the 70's of the gang war that was going on at the time.

IMHO I would rank this movie right up there with GOODFELLAS

I can see a Jackie Gleason influence in the characters of George Costanza from Seinfeld and Peter Griffin on Family Guy.

You are correct sir!

The more I watch the good old TV shows and movies,
the more I see there is very little "new" in new TV shows and movies.
