The worst single has been a tie between I Go Wild (but even on that track I like the part where he talks about "checkout girls with broken noses...etc.") and Streets of Love.

There aren't that many that I downgith dislike, but nominees for me will always include a potential top 5 -

Gomper (sorry 71Tele)
Back To Zero
Sweet Neocon
Indian Girl

and ... God help 'em, they were young -

The Singer Not The Song

The 60's:
You can make it if you try (horrible guitar tuning)
I'm free (a very very very good song, but the tambourine track is embarrasing, man, you just can't hold the beat!)
Under the Boardwalk

I have a little doubt with I've been loving you too long. Mick's voice doesn't fit, specially if you hear Otis' "Live in Europe".

The 70's:

Dance little sister (yes, I hate it. This song on the same album with Winter, too much)
Hide your love (amizing slide guitar on top of a poor song)
Melody (why they release this song?)

The 80's (I will name a few, the list is soooooooooo large)
Summer romance
Indian Girl
Tie you up
All the album Dirty Work (specially the horrible Back to zero)
I must say that Steel Wheels' a good album, but I hate the production and the clean "chorusy" sound.

The 90's-00's
Flashpoint... all those horrible quality keyboards... agh.
Suck on the jugular (good song on the wrong album, maybe on B2B will work better)
It won't take long
Dangerous beauty
Infamy (why, Keith, why???)

I'm Free is great. Are you some sort of tambourine virtuoso?

I'm surprised nobody has told us to stop with this thread because it's negative and only true fans talk about the Stones in a positive light at all times and there's no such thing as a worst Stones song.

Country Honk is the worst song. On Let it Bleed.

That one Keith sings on ABB about "baring your breasts". I cringed both times I heard that song.

I actually really like that song, but I agree, that line is completely cringeworthy, and marrs the song for me, both times I've listened to it.

Serious? I think it's better than Honky Tonk Woman. Those acoustics are so clean and crisp.

Love the toon, don't get me wrong. I just happen to like everything on Let It Bleed ahead of that one. It's a nice position to be in.

"My Girl" from "Flowers" beckons ...

There are some that are boring, or annoying, or gimmicky, or haven't aged well, or just flat-out mediocre...

but nothing hits the bulls-eye on all of the above categories like "Brand New Car". It's the faux-sleazy horns that push it over the top. What a waste of album space.

Maybe the question should be....What is the Stones equivalent to Mr. Moonlight, often considered by many to be the Beatles worst song (though I'm sure many will disagree)?

Hot Stuff--is this one of Mick's attempts at being Parliament Stonesadelic? This sort of funk groove isn't really Stones-type territory (it was done to more lively effect in Fingerprint File), and the unmelodic jam just sort of lays there, like an anvil chained to a ship's anchor. I'm always relieved when the track finally ends and Hand Of Fate kicks in to really begin the album.

Mr. Moonlight has a great organ solo by John Lennon.

Put all TSMR in the trash, horribe

It's better than Exile.

Don't be silly tongue sticking out smiley

Don't be boring :p

For me, psychedelic music that at times misses the mark is more interesting than rock music that ticks all the correct classic rock boxes.

Ah, but the Stones were not ticking "all the correct classic rock boxes" when they recorded Exile. The term and radio format "classic rock" did not exist in '71 so they hardly could have been referencing it.

Classic rock is obviously a retrospective term. thumbs up
