Thanks Schillid for the clips. Just woke up.. Marks so far:

- Satisfaction skit: Okey. Funny watching Jagger playing the dork.
- J. P Morgan skit: Lame. Jagger didn't do much though.
- Monologue: Okey. I guess...
- "Tea Party" with Jeff Beck: Esoteric lyrics, but okey, I guess. I don't know if it's a new number. Sounded like blues by the numbers.
- Kristen Wiig: I recognize her but really didn't know her from before. Haven't watched SNL for a long time. What a cute girl. Cute and adoring in that "next door neighbour girl" style. If you know what I mean. Her father is from Norway obviously. Hence the name.

For Swedish viewers: I noticed that this program will be reprised on Kanal 9, May 26.

Just finished watching it on the West Coast. The comedy bits were better than the musical to be honest. Jagger was funny. Not one mention of the Stones. It felt a little sad because they did a medley with Foo Fighters of 19th Nervous Breakdown and It's Only Rock and Roll that was cheesy at best. Oh well, it was what I thought it would be.

Just finished watching the show.

Winning performance by Mick....surprising song choices...NOTHING from the "Golden Age!"

Of the Stones songs performed,...only IORR was from the post-Decca/London era.

I thought the finale was beautiful.

A milestone in his career.

The other vids are available here :

Imho it's a winner! TLTime is very good (ha this a capella intro thumbs up ) and the two songs with the FFighters are also very nice.

So Mick sends us this message : he's still got at least 5 years ahead of him as a world-class performer. thumbs up

But with whom to back him...? >grinning smiley< The Stones? Other, younger, ppl?

100% agree. Everyone in my house from my dad (Mick's age) to my 10 year old was laughing their asses off - especially the Secret Word sketch. Lots of old farts wishing it was still about 1971. And Foo Fighters did a great job rockin' it up behind him.

comedy was a bit weak overall...music was excellent, spot on.

MJ was in top form.

AF, FF and JB were excellent.

BLOODY MAYBE BUT NOT BRILLIANT

Saturday Night Live
Date: May 20, 2012 07:14

I really thought that tonight's show would include a meaningful announcement. But it now appears that that is not to be. It almost seems impossible that Mick would not appear on stage with Keith Richards. Still around 50 minutes left in the show so maybe that is the grand finale...I have not seen this show live in about 20 years....I miss the not ready for prime time players!

The Foo Fighters, Arcade fire, and Jeff Beck...I haven't watched this show in about 30 years...do they normally have THIS many musical acts on in one night?
