I love SHE'S SO COLD and (admittedly a bit unreasonably) am annoyed Mick was inconsistent with the: 1) studio version: "you was a beauty" (intentionally ungrammatical to add flavor) and; 2) live Hampton, 1981: "you were a beauty."

Definitely would have to be "act like a goat" from "I Go Wild". I was embarrassed when I first heard it in 94 and my face is getting red right now having to type it.

Yes...I believe that makes an excellent case for the use of 'filters'.

You're awful bright, you're awful smart
I must admit you broke my heart
The awful truth is really sad
I must admit I was awful bad
While lovers laugh and music plays
I stumble by and I hide my pain
The lamps are lit the moon is gone
I think I've crossed the Rubicon
And I, I, I, I, I, I, I
Walked the streets of love
And they're full of tears
And I, I, I, I, I, I, I
Walked the streets of love
And they are full of fears
horrible
This is a Slim Harpo song-right? The lyrics are basic but I don't think it's one of the WORST...Not trying to throw stones here. I just love the rhythm & groove on this song...Quote

I wanna tell you 'bout a dance
That's goin' around,
Everybody's doin' it
From the grownups down.
Don't move your head,
Don't move your hands,
Don't move your lips,
Just shake your hips.
Do the hip shake, babe,
Do the hip shake, babe,
Thats good because it´s Exile ain´t it? No it´s crap.
Just wanna mention that

Awful...
Some of the latter-day embarrassments seem like half-assed attempts at writing....throwaway lines that rhyme....but are stupid and meaningless.

2005 - This Place Is Empty:
the offending lyric -
"Come on, bare your breasts
And make me feel at home"
This could be the all time line that spoiled an otherwise great song.

When I hear that line I picture Patti's breasts...and that sounds pretty good to me...in a sensually warm-and-welcoming, not a prurient, way.
