I dont get this - WHY does somebody spend his / her time creating articles like this. "The Rolling Stones tour has just been announced" - it takes like 2 seconds today to check the inernet and see that there is no announcement.

And if somebody doesn't know anything better to do with his time, why doesn't he at least choose some believable dates. This looks crazy at the first sight. Vienna 30.9....sure...it migh be 5 degrees and rain...I am sure they would plan the tour like that, I can see thousands of reasons.

It's a form of attention-seeking.

"They will not be". Okey, thanks. I think it's a pity though. London Summer Olympics are few and far between...

No, they wont do the Olympics. Jagger has already stated that a few months ago
jeroen

even in their advancing years, i would think they could still qualify for events like:

sitting on the fencing
ski jumping on top of me
lacriss-crosse?

others?

personally, I'm absolutely relieved they'll be nowhere near it. And I'm glad we're getting the Olympics and I'm looking forward to it.

Rock n roll as a sideshow to a sports event is shit. Always has been and always will be. The Stones dont belong there. And in fairness, no ageing acts should be asked to play at it.

So thats where the original post in this thread got their 'info' from.

Absolute rubbish. Its not the first of these speculative rip off merchants to try and entice would be punters to register and it wont be the last. No doubt the web and facebook will be awash with lots of posts about this in coming days as there's no shortage of gullible fans who take everything they read on a website at face value.

Seems very late to be playing stadiums in Europe.

...but not too late..
....for example....

Sep 7, 2003, TW Classic Festival site, Werchter
Sep 20, 2003 Twickenham Rugby Ground, London
Oct 2, 2003, Letzigrund Stadium, Zürich

Werchter is a festival site. Twickenham is a rugby stadium which wasnt in use in September and was a rescheduled date from August, and the Zurich one wasnt a club stadium at the time.

The summer of 2003 started for me on June 4th Munich and ended in October 2nd in Zurich not only Rolling Stones wise but also weatherwise we have been treated with the longest summer in years.
I remember that one day after the show in Zurich it rained cats and dogs and even started to snow only 1 hour out of Zurich and not on a very high altitude.

onlineticketshop.nl is a reputable business. At least I think it is, because I bought a couple concert tickets from them. Although I agree September is the the wrong time to be touring. Hmm.
