Oh my, sacred cows.

It's quite ok to not like something the stones do.

Yea, but let's agree Rambler is not part of that.

I hate Soul Survivor, is that part of that?

How can you hate a classic era Stones song. What did Soul Survivor ever do to you to deserve that hate. Did you watch your woman being shagged by your best mate or something while it played. Weird to carry that emotion for a band you clearly love.

ben,are you well?
Yes, Roger and out.

IMO, I may think this song could benefit from taking a few bits and pieces of other Stones songs to give it more of a prog-rock concept-album vibe. I could imagine dropping a few bits from "Jumpin' Jack Flash" here and "Happy" there, correct?

Hate is probably too strong, but I just don't like it. It's not the only "classic era" song I don't like.

please go ahead and hate. it's more dramatic and creates the animosity and intrigue that drives this messageboard. let's not milquetoast our dislikes...it only fuels disinterests and indifference....

Midnight Rambler" is one of those Stones songs that is almost un-cover-able; by another artist. The lyrics might as well be saying "I am Mick Jagger and we are the Rolling Stones".

i think they cut that verse out of the original studio version due to copyright infringement concerns. available on hard-to-find bootlegs...but really for completists only....
