Your top 2 favorite live Tumbling Dice tour versions...

Mine has to be the bluesy 72 version when Mick says "One thing Charlie ONE THANG!!"

Then Charlies lovely solid steady drumming (and guitars) in 81.

I love all versions from 1972 - 1999.

From 2002 onwards it went downhill...

'78 Detroit, '81 Houston. (2006 Saitama is pretty great, too.)

'78 Detroit. Greatest version ever.

Its still about the only warhorse I never get tired hearing in concert.

Agree with Gazza, T Dice is THE BEST Warhorse.

My fave is the '73 at ForĂȘt National, Cirkus Stockholm 2003 and the version they sorted out on the 7th of june in Paris '76. Keith decided the groove on that one, ya' all bet!

Voodoo Lounge and ABB, right after I'll go crazy, a beautiful transition.

Brussels 73

Paris 76

I think we should upgrade TD from Warhorse - it deserves better and as many have previously said, I never tire of hearing it live.

washington dc 2002 was unique. Mick actually had to sing it without back-ups and horns through half the song, because keith played t.d instead of don't stop.

Wasn't the best version but certainly memorable.

For me the best will always be from philadelphia '72; just because I remeber the first time I heard that boot I was floored and couldn't believe how awesome it sounded back then.

Urban Jungle Copenhagen 1990
Voodoo Lounge 95

Most of the 1981 versions are someway out of it

The '78 and '75 versions. I've always liked the ones from 7-23-78 and 7-13-75.

The version from the Wild Horses single, where the first bit is taken from a voice warm up, I guess, is one of the best imo. Fantastic groove, fantastic solo from Ron, excellent playing by Keith! Where is it from? Paradiso?

Atlantic City 89
Detroit 78

The early 70s versions were great, but a little too slow, imo.

I think that version is Basel Switzerland 95?

Any version without Mick Taylor, his rhythm playing completely ruins the song (IMNSHO).

YEAH!! That was so beautiful, the highlight in the setlist of the whole 2007 tour! The warm red/yellow light during Keith's intro and through the whole song, TD should be upgraded but to what???

War Horse is the maximum terminlogy. Ya can't get higher!!!
