MY first Stones concert was Lisboa 1995 and if I remember correctly the opening song was NOT FADE AWAY

Not Fade Away...which is a cover....the first Jagger/Richards songs was Tumbling Dice...

I wish I could remember. 1978 1979 tour. I do however remember exactly what the hot teenaged chick in front of me was wearing. In fact I remember her purfume too, maybe when I get another whiff, the song will come. peace.

first song was "she said yeah", at the arie crown theater in chicago (3,000 capacity; the hall wasn't full!) on november 28, 1965. this was the second rock concert i'd ever seen in my life; i was 15 years old. it changed my life!

up until then, i was a beatlemaniac (they were my first rock concert). but when i saw mick do "that's how strong my love is", i fell apart,and have been in love with the stones ever since.

i was lucky enough to be at the roseland ballroom show in new york when they, once again, did "that's how strong my love is", and i really felt like my life with the stones had come full circle. it was truly an out-of-body experience for me!

I can't tell you how excited I was. I'd been into them for 7 years and never thought I'd see them live. Someone recently posted about them being bigger than life and, to me then, they certainly were.

A great night - I missed my graduation for it!

Wish I could say that the first was Sam Cutler intro followed by Jumpin' Jack Flash. Then again....that would have made my 20 years older at present age, so I don't know what is best...

Its Only Rock And Roll. Really blew me away because I had no idea at the time that was something they were opening with. They at least hadn't been at the few shows right before me.

Berlin 1965 waldbühne.. the opener was everybody needs somebody to love, I think, followed by pain in my heart.
