10/19/73 Berlin....Mick Taylor's final gig as a Rolling Stone....not sure if it's a landmark show, but it is significant

Beat me to it - broke their own record in the same building three years later.

Because of the boot Brussels became an ex post facto landmark performance, but it is notable anyway. It was performed two days before the end of the second golden era; and it was during this show that the band had its greatest moment on stage. The performance of Tumbling Dice is absolutely thrilling. Listen to the mixed version that has Taylor's guitar clearly audible throughout the song. Jagger senses the brilliance and rides his lead guitarist like a jockey to the finish line. It's a performance for the ages.

Really? The sound usually isn't good at all (for The Stones or anyone) in a large, indoor stadium.

Actually the sound was excellent by mid-way through in New Orleans 78 - surprisingly - remembering Dice just rolling out: thick guitars / piano on top - it was great

Was LA 1969 their first midnight show?

Marseille March 30.1966 Second Show aka "The Chair incident"
a bad one for this below

While the STONES played Satisfaction at the end of the show, some guys threw chairs against the cops, but one of them missed the target...

They did that in New Orleans in 1978.

I suppose that was their M.O. back then.

I'm surprised no-one's mentioned the Ian Stewart Tribute gig at The 100 Club in 1986.
