Chuck gets a piano solo on a song written in 1977, cut again as a b-side in '93 and now released as yet another version of this song. Never have the Stones done so much to something so "little." I like So Young but we really don't need 3 different versions of it.

Matt Clifford on a Stones track--wow, just wow.

The credits on "Petrol Blues" is surprising. I always thought Stu played piano on it. I would've never thought it was Jagger.

Well, the results will be heard soon enough.

As long as they don't mess around too much with Claudine (can't imagine those lyrics making grade, but other than that it always sound like a completed track), Do You Think I Really Care and I Can't Help It it'll be an enjoyable listen.

Its a very serious situation though.
Or was, or has been. Or should be.
Either way I can't believe they cut Ernie Watts out of 'I Need You'

Damn you WAS!

A couple of interesting things. They are using the harmonica intro version of "We Had It All" and that they didnt keep Keith's original harmony vocals on "You Win Again" (since he was the only one that seemed to know all the words-Jagger kept screwing it up so I knew HE would have to re do them!)

Could Don't Be A Stranger be the song we know as Do You Get Enough?

Me too. Jagger speaks to him mid-song. Now I guess it's Stu doing the drums in the background.

You're both missing the obvious

It's Jagger 2011 Piano and Jagger 2011 Vocals
This amounts to a Primitive Cool outtake.

Chick Leavell - piano solo

Oh my. She even tinkles on this.

He's not on the 1994 B-side is he?

Matt Clifford...really? John Fogerty CLAPS on a track!? W!T!F!

Think we'll find out why it's Don and not Bill playing bass on that track? That's just...wrong.

Is there really a Japanese version with an extra song again, or is this just a joke I didn't get!

Not missing the obvious just ignoring it, in the hopes it wouldn't be true. Other than Stu's piano there's not much worth listening to in that track. Another peculiar move by the Mickster. But if you're right and they put this trite shite on in favor of Fiji, I Need You or (name the SG outtake) that's just wrong. Though at this point why should it be surprising.

As far as I know, it's Chuck on the 1993 version of So Young. I'll bet my two cents that it's the same version as on the Love Is Strong single.

I Love You Too Much aka I Can't Help It (bootleg title).

Re: Full credits for Some Girls bonus tracks

Thanks for posting GeorgeLicks, there is much that is surprising here:

Keith on harmony vocals on CLAUDINE and SO YOUNG and DO YOU THINK I REALLY CARE? Not on any version I recall hearing before. This should be interesting.

Cafaro, WHEN YOU'RE GONE was the basis for REDEYES. That's why Ronnie gave Jagger "inspiration by" credit.

The absence of Mac on every track is disturbing, but perhaps unsurprising.

I'll go with the guess that DON'T BE A STRANGER is the calypso track known previously as DO YOU GET ENOUGH aka LUCKY IN LOVE (but not the Jagger-Carlos Alomar song).

I don't understand why people are shocked to find Matt Clifford on here. He's all over STEEL WHEELS, FLASHPOINT, and contributed to the FOUR NEW LICKS and to two tracks on A BIGGER BANG. I'm pretty sure he was involved with Don Was in going through the tapes for EXILE RARITIES, too.

The John Fogerty handclaps is a bit of a shock.

I don't have a clue what KEEP UP BLUES is. SHEEP DIP BLUES possibly? Any guess is possible at this stage.

YOU WIN AGAIN is a surprise to see Keith's vocals erased entirely, but maybe that's to insure we get a 2011 sober vocal from Mick.

Nice to see Kimsey getting a producer credit. This should be interesting to say the least.

Turns out opening the vaults isn't enough for the whiners on this board; the many, many, many, whiners.

Hopefully the title of the third track sums up Jagger's attitude towards his "fans".

Indeed very funny Chris K is credited as producer, since he isn't credited as producer on Some Girls (eniger/mixing). As far as I know he hasn't done any work for the deluxe.

About I Love You Too Much... could very well be I Need You, because of the Keith piano credit. There's no piano on Can't Help It, right? Here's hoping they renamed I Need You to I Love You Too Much, just to keep us busy/confuse us.
