Mick Taylor live stuff here
Date: October 11, 2011 13:23

Norwegian singer/songwriter Martin Hagfors, who worked as a sound engineer in the US back in the 80s, did record lots of the shows and sound checks he did.

Now he has released all those recordings (cassette recordings) on his hobby web site weeklyleaks. Check out the Mick Taylor-stuff (Live at Nightstage 6.19.1988) + lots of other blues stuff here:

Scroll down to 50 on the player for Mick Taylor.

Sounds great!

It's only for streaming, but what you do with your recording software is up to you. The guy that runs the site is a musician himself, and don't want people to download, though.

And he has contacted all the musicians and estates to get their approval for streaming the music.

Awesome, that was my first MT solo show. Cambridge, Mass., (maybe L'il Ed & the blues imperials opening?) Incredible tone on BWMcTell for this recording, wow!!

I think I like this better than the Stranger in this Town live album, and it's only streaming @96kbps. MT should ask the guy for the .wav file and release it. The crowd/P.A. speakers are to the right, the board mix in the left. neat result.

Thanks for finding this, DP!

You couldn't find it, or couldn't listen to it?

It should be as simple as clicking the song in the player on the website.

The John Lee Hooker-show, with Peter Wolf guesting is awesome too! John Lee's guitar playing is always a treat, especially when he's this high in the mix.

Interesting to hear John Lee play rhythm guitar, consistantly for more than a few seconds.

Brilliant! smileys with beer
