Must have been planned. Paul is getting sentimental in his old age.

i think an iorr remedial vocabulary thread is in order...we can have the "word of the day" and discuss proper and improper usage.

Indeed Tod. Perhaps we should begin with irony. So far I think improper usage has been well covered. Hope all is well down Austin...

What? what's ironic about that?

There's 365 days in a year and he just happens to get married on that one. One would think he's pick some other day, any other day, to let the event stand on its own.

that's not irony...that's called a coincidence. not a big coincidence...not a small coincidence...because there are no big coincidences or small coincidences..there are just coincidences....

I would say it's coincidental; Others might say it's a random occurrence. What it is not is ironic.

Does seem a bit strange to pick this date, but none the less I hope Paul has found a second soul mate. Good luck to the happy couple!

It would only be a coincidence if he didn't remember he was getting married on Lennon's b'day. My guess is that he knew and went ahead on that day anyway.

"His John" as in euphemisim for a customer of a prostitute. Get your mind back in the gutter, man! "His dad" might have worked better.

What do you mean "anyway"? He's not allowed to married on the day of Lennon's birthday?
And it's not ironic.

You're right, that is also an amazing coincidence, and not remotely ironic.

Ironic would be if just after saving Keith's life, the doctor died while crossing the street to buy a donut because he was hungry, because he was hit by a car, because he didn't hear it, because he was listening to 'Biggest Mistake' too loud on his ipod.
