Well, it does say the film's been restored (that's good) and Bob Clearmountain worked on the sound. I wonder why such little fanfare (as of yet). Maybe that's to come later.

FAROUT- I'm on the front row of the balcony center--I do remember on the last song they turned the floodlights on over the stage and lit up the whole joint. I dont think I was jumping around tho- I believe I was still standing there with my eyes big as saucers and my mouth hanging open!!

This sounds mindblowingly good. Hot dog I'm sure as shit gonna see it at the movie theater in Aarhus. Especially looking forward to Sweet Little Sixteen (A humdinger on the SG Tour).

i'm probably undercaffeinated, but: does it says somewhere that the dvd and/or cd are more complete than the stuff in circulation?
i see the footage has been restored and the sound's been spiffed up, but does that mean either is more complete, longer etc?

i'm not complaining, mind you - just asking!

the tracklist contains 17 songs (the whole concert). that are 11 songs which haven't been in circulation

and Eric_Snow mentioned that audio recordings of Miss You have been incomplete

Well, hearing is believing in this case. The multitracks only have this incomplete version - wonder what they will splice in. However, it's possible that they have a separate line feed of the complete Miss You, but one would hear the difference.

Yes I'm curious about this myself.
Surely they can't use 5 minutes of "Miss You" from Detroit (as on Handsome Girls), as it wouldn't fit with the footage. So they must have another audio channel.....maybe the "tape" that leaked out to the bootlegs wasn't as complete as the master. That's my giess.

I saw it at the Clearview Palace, and I think it was shown at the Westbank Palace as well.

Finally some good Stones news. I hope to see this on the big screen in Germany. If not a road trip to somewhere in central Europe would be ok.
