Keith's book Life goes platinum

Quite an achievement to sell a million copies. I wonder what the biggest selling rock autobiography of all time is.

So now we have Keith the top selling author and Ronnie the award winning DJ and future TV presenter. The future's looking good.

This really is a major achievement since book sales, particularly in the US, have been dramatically down in the last couple of years.

But, as we know, Keith surely was born under a lucky sign.

Just bought the book yesterday & watched Pirates 4 last night, double whammy of Keef in one day! My wife was more into Johnny Depp though.... Also been blasting out the new-found Exiles outtakes all day.....

Well thats pretty amazing. Books written by musicians aren't usually big sellers and I know what I'm talking about.

Keith's a musician for us, sure, but he's also one of the most well-known junkies and a pop culture icon ;-)

Way to go, Keith! It's so nice to see him surrounded by books. Guitars too, of course!

But Keith didn't write the book, James Fox did. Finished reading the book a couple of weeks ago (before my computer gave in). Keith's contribution is quite minimal. It's very much a cut- and paste job. Somewhat a disappointment. The part about his childhood is the part worth remembering.

Keith wrote the story while living his life,
He is the book, so i dont think its fair to to say his contribution is minimal,

You mean to insist to me that when "Keith" is talking in the first person that it's actually John Fox saying all of that and feels that way? You obviously didn't read the same book everyone else did.

Yes, I do. If Keith were to talk in the first person he should have written the book himself. Of course the quotations are Keith in the first person. Hopefully.

So when Keith talks about Doris it's not Keith? John Fox is the Blondie Chapman of Keith's writing?

It's the ghostwriter retelling what he has heard Keith (or another source) saying in the first place. Keith didn't write it (unless it's a quotation).

Richards earned a huge payday for the book, raking in more than $7 million for his advance.
So next is Mick Jagger, very soon...

So we can blame James Fox for all the hassle smiling smiley

So who else could claim to have written the best selling rock autobiography? I'd reckon that Keith and Dylan are running neck and neck.
