Wyman's bass playing is more like a storm in the middle of the night that somehow sneaks up on you and let's you know just how small you really are.
would you like some wine with your cheese?

Hey I like the Beatles but I would not go to a Beatle board and say the Rolling Stones are a better band. Obviously most people on this board wouil take the Stones over the Beatles. It was kind of a foolish question on a Stones board.

I've had a cheeseburger and fries at Bill's Sticky Fingers restaurant, and I've had a vegetarian meal served during Paul's Off the Ground tour. Neither were great but the cheeseburger was better.

Incidentally, I'm amazed how little George's role in getting the Stones signed is repeated. We read more about Bill peeing on a gas station wall than George Harrison getting Dick Rowe to sign the Stones to Decca.

Article excerpt: "By May, the Beatles had achieved riotous success in England when Rowe attended a talent show where he was seated next to George Harrison. 'I told him how I’d really had my backside kicked over turning the Beatles down,' he recalled years later. Harrison laughed it off and suggested he see a group in London called the Rolling Stones. Rowe did—and soon signed the second most popular band in history."

Exactly my point. I have every Beatles album and every Stones album. I could never talk about this band vs. that band--that's so high school!

Seriously, as much as I love the Beatles; by the end of 2013 they will be in the Stones rear view mirror, forever.

Hi all

My dad was a massive Rolling Stones fan and we would listen to their records all day long, I grew up with the Stones. My dad hated the Beatles so I discovered them on my own when my parents divorced. Also, I have been working for EMI in 2008, so had the chance to discover the whole catalogue. My conclusion is that The Stones are better, the music is more rock'n'roll and that's what I need in my life. But that's my personal feeling...
