The Beatles or the Stones. 'Pop' v 'Rock'. 'Good' v 'Bad' ...
Is it 1965 yet?
For f**ks sake, how old are some of you people?
Six? Seven?

Just the mention of the Stones and Beatles in the same breath makes us young once again. Some real magic in those names.

Really? A Stones v Beatles thread on here is more likely to give me haemorrhoids. Even though I dont have them.

Well, what can I say, it's the age old question, The Beatles vs The Rolling Stones, and it probably isn't going away anytime soon, at least not in our lifetime.

The Stones' version is a disaster from start to finish. What is the highlight of it? The off tune chord at the end of the song?

It has feel and swing, it is rough around the edges and sung with total commitment by jagger. Sounds like an early garage band.. it also sounds to be recorded by people who are dangerous and would lead you to the wrong end of town which makes it an intoxicating brew!!
the Beatles version..... well it is so watered down to appeal to everyone, including your granny which is where I have the problem. It is the difference between tutti frutti by little Richard and pat boones version of tutti frutti.

Did the Beatles do anything blues influenced? And please dont say Yer Blues. That song is terrible.
