What Else do ya' Like About a Rolling Stones Tour

Apart from the concert itself what other sort of things do ya' like about a Rolling Stones tour.Well my start right from the very first minute when Mick makes his televised announcement to the world..with all the glitz and glamour similar to what ya' see in American Presidential speeches. Then its all the newspaper stories..reviews and advertising etc.and the Nightclub and Pub scene before..during and after while The Stones are touring I just love it.I love everything about a Rolling Stones tour..smoking smiley

I love the party atmosphere with the people in your section at a concert.

I love all the memories being there triggers of past concerts.

I always love being in a city like London or Berlin for a couple of days and meet up with all those great Stones fans.

You mean the people yelling at me to sit down and shut up?

In nineties I had no internet and heard only vague rumours about upcoming tours, so when I opened up the paper or listened to the radio and got the news about Babylon and Voodoo I was really thrilled.

at a rolling stones concert? no, it's a solemn and spiritual thing and requires deep thought and meditation.

Sometimes I am the guy people are telling to sit down and shut up, and sometimes I am the guy telling YOU to sit down and shut up. Sometimes I am BOTH of those people on the same night. It depends on the concert, the mood I'm in, how many beers I've had, even what song is being played at any particular moment. Last summer I went to a "Hippiefest" thing that had several different acts playing. When Rare Earth was on, the people in front of me were talking non-stop, and were practically having to SCREAM at each other to be heard over the music. I said "Hey! I wanna HEAR this!" Later on, when Jack Bruce was playing, I was the one carrying on like a maniac. The guy I had yelled at turned around, incredulous, and said, "YOU were telling ME to be quiet?!?" "You got me", I said. "I'm a hypocrite". We both had a good laugh.

What I like, is going to places that I have never been to, or realy love the place because I have been there before.I love meeting up with fans from IORR,Rocks Off and other sites I had not even heard about. Can be -20C winter as in Toronto or NY....................or 44C summer in Budapest.Las Vegas was great as I saw The Rightous Brothers a day or two after the Stones show. When you like travelling to far and away places with the extra reason of seeing The Stones..............you know you're gonna go to heaven a happy guy.Memorys of the gigs, fellow fans that you meet, and the general Stones related atmosphere at the time will never go away. >grinning smiley<

I also like the thought that The Rolling Stones and their entourage are being well looked after while they're in my country.

Unfortunately, I don't have to many good memories of stones shows in the last ten years. I think the audience is to old for a proper rock show. There are to many "meat heads" associated with a stones show, and the band plays the same songs every night.

I had better times at stones shows back in the 90's, maybe because I was younger . . .

I like it when the floor isn't sticky from someone's beer (or vomit) and the people sitting next to me don't talk through all the songs they are not familiar with, because they only came to hear "Brown Sugar" and "Angie".

Wow, have my standards for a Stones show been lowered over the years.

I like traveling to shows and exploring different cities. I have done so since the '78 tour. I really love the European tours and the spirit is different than North America. I love the excitement of the anticipation before the show, the bar, then the venue and then waiting before the lights go out and the Stones ht the stage. I also like seeing many familiar faces from various tours who seem to enjoy doing the same things I do. Following the tour, hanging at the band's hotel, IORR and Shidoobee gatherings. It's only rock n roll but I like it!!

It's reading posts like this that make me realise how much I can't wait for a new tour. Despite other posts I may have written!

I am always very excited some hours before the concerts. I think to see the stage empty or just with technical guys is very very exciting.
