love it when they're both on fire!
Absolutely! Firebird and ES, or Midnight Rambler 2002 for example. Heavier sound, but I like this razor-like sound from the two Teles against Bill's bass lines.Quote

I never liked Strats as Stones guitars. Too bland. Teles are better, and my favorite Stones combination was KR with a Tele and MT with a Les Paul.

In my view there is much more tonal separation between a Gibson and a Fender than when the same make is used by both guitarists. It almost like the contrast between a viola and violin in a chamber orchestra...

But the Strat is in my opinion, a poor Stones-type guitar. It has neither the twang of a Tele or the growl of a Gibson. It doesn't sound as good on the open-G rhythm, or on leads. They're great guitars for Clapton/Beck type players.

Well, here they're both on a Gibson and Ronnie playing the bridge properly, which he didn't do on the Bang tour for some reason.

Ronnie's Strat tone is one of the Stones quintessential sounds!!!

It sure sounded good in 72 when Keith played one (Brown Sugar etc.), but I know what you mean, although I love RonnieĀ“s strat sound on the 75/76 tours - In 81/82 as well of course.

Wow....how can you 'love this'...It's the lamest of lame versions of any Stones tribute band around...It doesn't rock, it doesn't roll, there's no swing, no jive.
It is just totally void of anything....

Come on! Maybe a bit bland but it's not that bad.
They did surly worse than that.
And I like the video/performance. Was it from the official 94 video?
