So let me get this straight:
1. This information comes from the official UMG website
2. It was translated by someone who actually understands Japanese
3. It pertains to the same set we're buying, i.e. we don't have to mortgage our souls to be able to afford a Japanese pressing
This is just intended to ensure I'm not getting excited about nothing - not meant as criticism or ridicule...

I don't see the point in having mono versions on the Japanese set and stereo versions on the "rest of the world" sets. So my guess is all sets get the mono tracks.
If live version of 2000 Light Years From Home is really included as it's shown on the japanese UM site, the only thing missing would be the Wild Horses single plus a couple of 12" remixes.

So it's beginning to look like they actually did it right this time.
ABKCO, are you listening? It's time to release Sympathy for the Devil and those other mono mixes that have been MIA for decades!

This information comes from Universal music Japan.
But these informations(alternate mono etc.) are announced only in Universal Music Japan, so I don't know these are correct or not.
Of course I do hope these informations are correct.

by myself (a Japanese. my site -> [www.st.rim.or.jp])

It is announced that Japanese CD Singles Box comes with "import" discs, the same set you can buy, and a Japanese booklet.

Okay, this is weird:
This must be some kind of misunderstanding. Obviously, if it's an official video, YouTube shouldn't delete it...
I'd say there's a 90% chance that they are identical. I'll leave it up to you to decide if those odds are good enough.Quote

Should I order the stuff from the German amazon where it seems to be best priced, or should I wait until everything is clear about the Jap edition with possibly that one extra goodie?

So Toru, we are absolutely sure that the JP edition doesn't contain extra tracks?Quote

Let me input this.
No mono versions are contained in Jap edition.
Please be aware.
