Mick & Keith "solo": The two of them with a couple of stools, acoustic guitars and harmonica, maybe a keyboard; doing blues cover favorites, reinterpreting some Rolling Stones songs, and maybe even a couple of new ones. Small venues, intimate, conversational vibe. Can you imagine how cool that would be? It would be the hottest ticket in town. Too bad they can't stand each other.

That would be cool, but if they're going to do that they might as well include Ronnie and Charlie and call it the Stones.

It's looking more and more like the Stones are finished, due to age and Keith's arthritis. It's very sad but I'm starting to accept it. Nothing lasts forever, after all.
But Jagger, on the other hand, seems to be in excellent health and could probably go on performing for a while. It wouldn't be as good as the Stones (very little is) but it would beat the hell out of nothing. He could sign up a couple of virtuoso guitar slingers and a crack backup band and hit the road.
I'd go see a Jagger solo tour. Of course he'd have to play much smaller venues, but that might actually be a good thing. What do you all think ... would you go see a Jagger solo tour, and what kind of business do you think it would do? Is it something Mick would even consider at this point?

This could become reality in about five to ten years. They will eventually grow closer as they come to grips with their own immortality.

In Keith's case it might be immortality.

That would be the point. Once you have Ronnie and Charlie, they would feel compelled to need the whole circus. As much as I would miss Charlie, the opportunity to see the two songwriters and lifelong friends in an intimate environment would be awesome. I like this idea so much I moved it over to its own thread...

Why on Earth?
His solo tours in the past wasn't anything like the Stones, it was really a parodu of a rock show.

I think he's past the solo tour itch. Maybe he'd play with some other 'senior' superstars on his level.

I don't know, I think he craves the adultation too much to stay off the stage even after the Stones call it quits.
