Things we didn´t know before reading LIFE

Surely there must be a lot of things we learned reading LIFE. For example, Bobby Keys whith Natalie Delon or Billy Preston being gay (never had think of it), etc.
I think it could be an interestin thread...

We didn't know 2,000 media and fans converged on Fordyce, Arkansas, in 1975, to cover and demonstrate for Keith and Ronnie's release but absolutely no one took film or pictures.

I hadn't known that mick insisted on bringing keith to the Little Boy Blue and the Blue Boys practices. Actually, I wasn't even sure keith was on that tape. But the larger point that mick was somewhat responsible for keith, the rock and roller who secretly listened to country and folk, being accepted by the blues circle was new to me, even though keith doesn't quite put it that way... and even though he seems to forget about this later when he goes on, at different points, about the art of putting a band together, which he seems not really to have done until the Winos (which is debatable as a "band" ).

related to this: he gives one of the clearest accounts of the trad jazz vs. blues vs. rock and roll divisions in the early scene. I think I get it now... though how "trad jazz" could captivate a whole scene is still mysterious to me. This part was quite good, I thought.

Keith drunk making a fool of himself when he first met Patty's family. Then him and Patty crying about it. That was very surprising to me and the fact that he tells it in his book without blaming anybody but himself. That's fvcked vp but honorable 5hit right there.
Rock and Roll,

The recording of "Rocks Off" story was cool and all Keith...

The whole Toronto incident into Anita's boyfriend offing himself was gruesomely interesting and I didn't know it~

I never knew that if it hadn't been for Bobby "Honey" Goldsboro, Keith would never have learned those Jimmy Reed tricks that would allow him to write things like "Gimmie Shelter".

How he met Freddy, and how Johnny Depp got his access, which certainly wasn't something Marlon would have enjoyed reading about.

How he figured out he needed his first "minder" when he was in school and was getting beat up -

J.Thunders died at 38 and Keith's fine so that's a clue we had since 91.

I read about Bobby Keys and Nathalie Delon's affair in June Shelley's autobiography.
Seriously, you didn't know Billy Preston was gay?

...that he still has a 'scorched earth' policy and will sacrifice the viability of the Stones so that he can take cheap, pathetic, mean-spirited shots at Mick.

Bobby "Me Japanese Boy I Love You" Goldsboro is THE MAN. (And yes, he really DID have a (minor) hit with a song with that title.)

That Keith is obviously still smitten with Anita, and mentions several times that he would be married to her if she had quit heroin when he (supposedly) did.
I did not find the Keith and Patti "love story" that addicted told us was a real tearjerker before the book came out. I got the feeling Keith just settled because Patti offered the stability that Keith craved at the time. She was/is good for him, but anyone can see he longs for that intellectual spark he got/gets from Anita.

Also, I wonder what Stash did to earn Keith's constant jabs at him throughout the book. I can see one or two playful jabs, but Keith went overboard, so Stash had to have done something to piss Keith off.
