Yes, Bjornulf, please enlighten us.
Speaking of trolls, I was trying to remember the name of the Paul McCartney fan who used to post fairly regularly about 2-3 years ago. Does anyone remember his name? I would like to look up some of his old threads. They were quite funny.
ferrante9 ?
That's right - thanks. I guess it was 5 years ago.

BS + Nothing Official = Nothing official
Nobody knows anything. Wait for an official announcement.
There is no done deal. No one knows.
La Nada is what it is.
How do you know?

The longer they wait, at this point, the less likely is anything to happen.

i believe the strategy is to wait for death and then that'll be their lame excuse for not touring.

You think they have a strategy at all at this point? Taking all reports ito account, one tends to believe that they are still struggling to find one.
I really don't think it's a cognizant startegy. I seriously doubt they sit around thinking how can we squeeze the most money out of our fans? I know,we'll spread tons of false rumours on an internet fan site. I think it's far more a case of huge indifference. At this point they can't bring themselves to care enough to make a decision to tour or not. Why should they? They've got more money than God. They are using it to enjoy the good life a hell of a lot. No foreplay. They've already @#$%& us several times.Quote

Actually they do have a strategy. That strategy is to keep you guessing and wondering if they have one at all. I call it RSTF (Rolling Stones Tour Foreplay). Took me awhile to figure out how these guys operate, and now that I have, I just sit back and enjoy the ride. Of course if they never perform together again then I will crawl from this forum with my tail between my legs and shall never return.

I don't think the money is an issue for any of them. If you are 67 years old and already a multi-millionaire, why would you be motivated to make more millions? It doesn't make any sense to me.
I have finally "flipped" and I hope that they don't tour anymore. August '07 was their final curtain call and that's alright with me!
I saw them in 75, 78, 81, 89, 94, 97, 98, 03, and 06. I am satisfied!
I wince because I missed them in 72. I was 14 and it could have been my very first concert!

I won't say they will never perform together again - I'm sure they will - but the collective desire to tour is just not there. It is very obvious.
Keith doesn't have the same problems as Steven Tyler. ST is much more problematic than Keith and his approach to music is completely different.Quote

Has anybody considered this scenario; they start a tour but for one reason or another, don't finish it? Twice in the last 10 years ('98 and '06) they had to postpone tours because of Keith's injuries. What would be worse; never touring again, or having to abort a world tour halfway through because of some serious health issues with Keith...or perhaps Mick or Charlie? That would be a sad way to end after 50 years, but not difficult to imagine. Look at all the trouble Aerosmith had on their last tour...and they are much younger than the Stones.

Competitive instinct. Both with their own past accomplishments and the need to still be bigger than anyone else. Additionally, they've become so locked into this addiction/obsession for so long that they've forgotten a time when it wasnt so important to them.
If money wasnt an issue, they'd be happy to work for significantly lower guarantees and charge less money for a ticket. The fact that they wont speaks volumes for how important it seems to be.
