Would it be too much to ask for...

...if the band wrote some kind of Christmas/New Year-letter, where they wished their fans a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and furhermore told us about the current situation in the band and their plans for the new year coming up?

Maybe Keith'll twitter it.

I think they have done Christmas greetings in the past.

As far as telling us about future plans, not a chance.
They won't say anything (practically) until it happens.

They might do it if they WERE a "they".

And what about rollingstones.com: Has any member of the band ever logged in to that site? Or is it purely for shopping-experiences?

Who besides the few on this board who desperately needs to hear this update? No one outside this forum could care a flip about the Stones' next move.

Oh sure, Mick's going to go on camera, state his predictions of the band, and then have to answer to a group of fanboys about why they didn't tour when Mick said they would?

I don't need to hear a bunch of lies from Mick anyway...

Now please, don't be silly. That would be far too considerate a gesture. You might (heaven forbid) give folk the scary notion that you care .... !!

My experience of being a fan for almost 40 years is that the Rolling Stones give a fu*k about how to please their fans. But I love them anyway.

Maybe being inconsiderate is part of their formula? It's worked for nearly 50 years. Here's another thought, what if they really care but can't express it because it will damage their reputation/leagacy. Just a thought.

Yes. They will announce it when they know what they will do.

they'd only do a "message" of this sort,
if they could charge the fan money for it.

Maybe through some sort of "Golden messaging/VIP" scheme through,
the US-based RS.COM ??
Obviously, it would only be available for U.S fans to buy and download.

...Over to you Mr Cohl.
