1975: HTW, Wahsington DC and Madison Square Garden (?)...

If it's been on here before, sorry. Two brief news snippets. The first news clip is from Washington DC. The second has no ID but looks like Madison Square Garden, the lotus stage lowering, big cheer for the "New York City" line in HTW.

Great link,thanks. Had no idea they projected the show on to big screens back then,thought that came in in the eighties.

Wow thanks. I was at one ogf the MSG shows and vividly remember the petals of the stage opening with Jagger lying up at the edge. Hadn't seen it since that day!Thanks again

The old Capital Centre (opened in 1973 and torn down in 2002) where the Stones played in 1975 among the pioneers in use of video screens.

Tom - the HOW is 6/22/75 - (my first show!) and one ROPENI has posted gorgeous stills from - but the negative is reversed - i fixed it recently and pumped the audio a bit -

what's interesting on the DC piece is that we get to see how they begin on the "simpler" version of the stage that did not open and close - unlike the LA footage - how could they design a stage that was only used for three cities?? (NY LA and Chicago, right?)
