A bunch of old fogies!
This is excellent. Ga Ga is original and outrageous and her references to the Stones, as well as Neil Young etc, shows real knowledge and a certain respect to elders.

On the one hand, I think she has talent but she annoys the crap out of me because she feels this need to be a crack pot, beyond outrageous..we had Bowie and Boy George and Elton John who were out there at times but she is a few steps beyond in a very tasteless way...like the way she was acting at Yankee Stadium...why does she feel PRIVILEDGED? She's not that SPECIAL....maybe no ne told her that yet.

It's all nice and such that she knows who the Stones and Neil are, but her music leave me cold. She obviously has talent and it might be great on the dance floor but it's not for me. It's all studio trickery. She's Madonna, version 10.9. If two or three of her fans search out the original version of this song it would be a plus. For a real laugh go to YouTube and search out the mash-up of Poker Face with Christopher Walken reading the words from the Jonathan Ross show. Geez, I laughed my rear off the first time I saw it. A classic! I'd post it here if I knew how.

I'm a foggie, with two G's, and proud of it.

THATS IT!!! I watched it 4 times before reposting. And the straight reading is just as funny. Thanks for posting those. Now if we can get Walken to read the lyrics to Star Star.

She's talented and original, and that's the bottom line for me. You guys are showing your age.

I'm not ashamed to say the girl has the goods. She writes great melodic pop songs with great hooks, plays piano quite well, and is an electric performer. When I first heard about her my reaction was the same as some of the posts here, but after listening without prejudice or preconceived notions I concluded she has a genuine talent for song writing and performing, unlike some others who will remain nameless (Britney Spears) who can't sing well and don't even write their own material...

Yup I am showing my age that I prefer well written, non gimmicky rock and roll. Lots of great new stuff, The Black Keys, Wolfmother, Arcade Fire... And I guess I don't much like the teenie bopper stuff that the typical 13 year old likes.

She's original? Pffff. Then I could be original too. All she did was mix Madonna and David Bowie's looks and got some douche writing a hit for her.

Agreed -- I'd love to hear Lady Gaga sing Gimme Shelter!

She's OK, but the only contemporary female singer I have any real time for is the lucious and heavenly voiced, Beyonce.

No, she's showing HER age, that is she's a brat who grew up in front of a TV set. Therefore she thinks you have to be constantly ON the tv to make it. Songs? Artistic integrity? Being a media whore is better.

So far I've seen the words:

excellent
original
outrageous
talented

None of those words apply to this dunt of a hack. More proper words left out are:

ugly
horrible
talentless
boring
stupid
annoying

she may not be your cup of tea, but talentless she is not.

maybe, but just because someone isn´t talentless doesn´t make this person talented.

i don´t hear anything special or great talent, i don´t think this is a matter of taste in this case.
