Best version of all down the line

I´m searching for the best live version of all down the line. i like the B-side of the "like a rolling stone"-Maxi from 1995 (Brixton) but I think the best versions are with nicky Hopkins and Mick Taylor. Bruessles Affair sounds too muddy...

I like that version too... it just rocks!
Same counts for Tumbling Dice live... also a B-side from Stripped. Great version.
Of course don't forget the magical live version of Gimme Shelter!
And Black Limousine.

I like the version from the Philidelphia Special boot from the 1972 tour. Mick is in great voice, Keiths rhythm is just sooo gritty and awesome, fab, energetic slide from Taylor and of course Charlie and Bill are in a perpetual groove. The horns are absolutely outstanding and when you put it all together, it's not just one of the best versions of ADTL, but one of the best Stones live performances of any song!

This version comes from the second Paradiso gig (27/05/1995).
All Down The Line wasn't played in Brixton.

Great version anyway !

I vote for February 24, 1973 (Cricket Ground, Perth, Australia).

Listen -- at high volume -- to the final minute (beginning at about 2:50). Every time I hear this, I'm stunned at how tight the band is. It's ridiculous.

My favorite version, though not live, is an acoustic version from the EOMS sessions. Just gorgeous. I wish that one had been hauled out for the remaster bonus cd.

I think the version from LA (last US show) in 2006 it is kick ass!

Just listened to the Perth version and it is great. Like redsock says, the band are amazing from 2.50 and throughout that whole show to be fair. That closing section of the song is great. Charlie and Bill locked in rhythm, the horns driving it forward, Taylor with great slide, Nickys lovley little piano frills and Keith absolutely tearing it up with crunching rhythm. Close your eyes and you can probably imagine Mick running round like a loony in his jumpsuit, pointing, clapping and shaking his ass!

Is the Brixton b-side still available? I can't see it for download and it's not in the shops as such...

The studio version hands down.

Live: Detroit 1978 or Philly 1972.

Original single mix from 1972. The boogie piano mixed up front. Soooo much better than the LP version.

The version you're talking about is on the boot 'Acoustic Mother f u c k e r s'. See this link (http://www.bootlegzone.com/album.php?name=KRCR04) for more info. It's my favourite version by a mile. A true gem.
