How many of us will go and see the stones on their next tour?
Posted by: pgarof ()

After reading lots of threads over the past couple of years regarding the Stones downhill playing abillity, how may of you will actually not go to see them again?

I know it will not be like seeing them in 1972 but 'come on' its the Stones, I just can't wait! I have always felt like this right from the early 70's just waiting for that press release to say "we are touring again"

Don't care that they are old,
don't care if Keith isn't what he was,
don't care if Mick Taylor is not with them,
don't care if Micks voice is struggling sometimes,
don't care if they have a large backing band
Don't care is ronnie is drunk
Don't care if Chuck Levell is playing keyboard
Don't care if they don't play all the songs I like to hear
Don't care if thay play war horses
Don't care if they have a mamouth stage with inflables and fireworks
Don't care if ticket prices are high
Don't care...Don't care...Don't care...Don't care..

I just wanna see them again.

I will. If nobody cares then they will scale down to club shows so that would be great, less pressure for tickets...

If they did a theatre tour or club tour thay would be sold out in seconds with hundreds of people queing on the streets just like in the sixties

I will be there for sure. I also don't believe they will scale it down much. Seeing them in a theatre would be a dream come true, but I don't hope for it. To be realistic - it would be enough for me if they played arenas instead of stadiums here in Europe and I was able to get FOS tickets for a couple of shows...Speaking about the Stones in a theatre - I have seen Charlie in a theatre and I will again in September, so...that'll do for me.

I will go. Doubt it though that I'll go to the USA again as I've done on every tour since Voodoo Lounge.

I think an arena tour would be a good move, they would sell out for sure, i saw them at wembley in 2003, it was a very basic stage but it was the best i have seen them for years, great sound! but as i said, don't care if they play stadiums, if it was half empty I would still be there.

I'll be there for sure. I'm speculating they'll do an arena tour. However I'd love a club show as most of us would.

Yes, I'll be there too. Hate stadium shows and wouldn't go to see another band in such a setting even if they paid me! Been there, done that, got too many T-shirts...

But, c'mon. This is the Stones we're talking about!

Count me in. A Stones show I will never miss intentionally.

I will go for sure. Stadium, Arena, Club? Would love to see them in a club again. But actually I don't care as long as I can them live on stage playing.

I think the Stadium shows tend to have a better vibe in the audience, well in the early days when everyone had to sit or stand on the grass.I can remember , i think it was the voodoo lounge tour, everyone was just milling around and chatting thenas soon as the Stones intro went out, the lights came up and everyone surged to the front, from then on it was just singing along , jumping up and down with everyone, the whole 2 hours went in a flash

I hate stadium shows, even though I do go; I will try to avoid them if the Stones tour again and stick to indoor arenas! I've only seen one theatre gig, Radio City, so that's what I'll aim for. It's worth it,more exciting for sure and after all these years, I would want to go for the big thrills!

Only Jagger can keep up the standard they had 35 years ago,so Mick Jagger solo with decent musicians playing the best Stones songs is an option for me.
That includes Bill Wymann. Taylor..I don't know.

this is a strange thing, thinking whether to spend a good bit of money on going to see a Stones show. I suppose if there's any doubt then I probably won't go. too much money. it should be a case of, " yes for sure lets go, and make sure to get the best seats!" without any hesitation.
I do want to hear a new album though. and I would really like to see them in a theater size venue, not a 25000 seat arena or worse, a stadium.

I will be there.
For minimum one, and probably plenty of shows.
Untill they réally let me down twice in a row... (so far, they haven't.)

I don't think I would do such an amount of concerts as done during 05-07 and 02-03 or in 1982 but I will be there.
They should do at least a trilogy thing like they did on 02/03. That was amazing. However perhaps they should scale it to 2 arena and 1 theatre shows
Whatever they will do, it's anyway the Rolling Stones Big Band called once the Rolling Stones.

Only if I can get my hands on some club or small arena ticket. I won't pay over 100 e. for a stadium concert ever again.

I will for sure! Prefer a smaller venue than an outdoor stadium, but then again it's up the the Stones!

It will not be this year, maybe 2011, but most likely 2012 for their 50th anniv.
