Agree with most of you. But apart from 'studio' come-ons, I would say Midnight Rambler, slow mid-part, Brussels 1973. That's really mean!!

I'm laffing as I'm writing this...that song, for me, has to be the most 'cringeworthy' in the entire canon of Rolling Stones band/solo singles, or even tracks.

Even worse than Back to Zero.

While the music sucks, the lyrics are where this really tanks.

"Come On! Let's Work, be proud, stand tall, man and a woman, be free, let's work, kill poverty!"

EW!

I'm blushing and laughing of embarrassment when seeing even more "lyric-highlights" of Let's Work posted here....they're so truely awful indeed

The saving grace, is understanding that the same person that wrote Gimme Shelter, Street Fighting Man, YCAGWYW and Sympathy can also write complete garbage...we're all human!

It was around the time of Live Aid and We Are The World...Mick was probably just trying to jump on the bandwagon.

When it came out, the first time I heard it I thought it sounded ridiculous, and condescending.

A wealthy rock star, never actually 'working' a day in his life, preaching for everyone else to work.

I'm surprised he wasn't roiled in the music press on that one.

I am a Frenchie ,as Mick affectionately called them in the Old Grey Whistle Test in 1977 .

okay, so I've changed my mind...
my favorite "come on" - and this is serious - is one I've remembered for a long time.
because it's so unique, cool, distant but focused, well... ;^)

it's in the middle of YCAGWYW on the Copacabana Beach, ABB Rio de Janeiro show.
just when he encourages 1.5 million people to sing...
go find your boots & DVDs...

The music press smartly ignored Let's Work (as well as Primitive Cool).
